Katie Niemeyer is a professional speaker, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and CRNA who relentlessly encourages others to overcome obstacles and reach new goals.
As a teen, Katie nearly died in a hospital burn unit in St. Louis, Mo., where she suffered from an adverse reaction to medication, a rare condition called Stevens Johnson Syndrome. She shared on The Steve Harvey Show how a visit from a stranger in the burn unit taught her the power of one.
Over the last thirty-five years, she has drawn on her lifetime experiences as a SJS survivor, speaker, parent, and medical professional to create a new business, fund groundbreaking medical research, and inspire people to cross their own finish lines.
After winning a competition from athletic apparel designer Under Armour, Katie started a non-profit, where awareness and funds are raised to develop new protocols and treatments for patients facing SJS.
